Sign up to disable those pesky ads. So as you may know, i am one huge Guildwars fan. So when this news came in i nearly cried with happiness because previously the beta was only open to the press and selected participants. However, today that changed. How? you ask. Because it's now open to the general public! Here is the link to the beta sign up (you will be required to scan your pc using a downloadable tool, your pc's specs will then be sent to the devs). https://beta.guildwars2.com/dxdiag If anyone decides to sign up for the beta and gets in, iwill not only be extremely jealous if you do and i don't, but it would prove amazing if we could get some sort of Grey Viper guild going. My laptop would never run it otherwise id be up for it, shame as I liked the original but no-one I knew played it when I did so I didnt play it for long.
Actually its worth a shot, the dev team said that the game would run similar to Guildwars 2, it's a very optimised game.
Most demanding game ive run on this is Oblivion, Guild Wars 2 looks like it would be more taxing than that. IGN just posted this too which might be of interest to people... Competitive Combat in Guild Wars 2
That's what it says on the official website. Arena.net make very well optimised games. I would imagin you would be able to run it on low settings. The graphics are reduced quite a considerable amount on guildwars when the graphics slider is changed so i assume it would be the same for this game. If you still sign up anyway they will only accept you if your pc can run it. It says that on the website. So its worth a shot, it only take around 2 mins to sign up! :) Edit: Included the vid with a link to your profile in the main post
I didn't really take interest in the first Guild Wars but after growing a love for fantasy games over the recent years, I'll probably give this one a try
I'm still wondering whether or not to sign up. I'd love to try it, but I don't really have the time to dedicate to it and report back bugs and the like to the dev team. I bet it's a cracking little game, though!
You should, you don't HAVE to provide feedback as the kind of feedback they want is about servers etc. It would be nice to play with you if you did get in, we could make a GV guild.. THE POSSIBILITYS. But i still haven't got an email saying that i have been accepted, only confirming that they have received the application. Only 24 hours left!, but i think it would be worth trying, i have been gagging to play this game since it was announced.

I shall let you know ASAP. At the moment there are no system requirements and there will not be in the beta stage, i suspect it will be a while before they are announced/leaked.
Update: Beta sign ups are now closed and the emails for the beta codes have not been sent out yet. A date for them is yet to be confirmed but i will update this as soon as there is one. In the mean time, do not worry it you haven't been sent a code yet, because, well, no one has.
Update: Statement from the Guildwars team. Well, it's nice to know when the event will be taking place. Something to look forward to!
Update: Arena.net have recently sent out an email to everyone who has applied to the Guildwars 2 Beta confirming that Keys will be sent out shortly.
